Horrible unit and very hated unit for me. I struggled with the readings and the assignments were marked harshly. I tried to participate in class so I could learn but having Yeshe as my tutor, he would laugh at me for anything that I said. Do not think this is an easy unit! Being a law student I thought I could have a break by taking this unit but found it to be much more difficult than any of my law units. I am just barely managing to pick up a pass.

Hated this subject. The content was really interesting but the tutorials were a dull waste of time. We were made to spend most of the class writing sentences and then reading them out loud to the class. Assignments were marked harshly and the online quizzes were tricky.

If you're not someone who is dedicated to reading, and note taking, please do not fall for this. Although there's no exam, but the grading is very harsh. Assessments are difficult, requiring high level of critical thinking and knowledge penetration/integration. The need to use all readings in your essays, and knit the theories while analyzing connections is what's challenging. Not for everyone. However, it is these difficulties that improve your writing skills. It's a good course to take if you want to learn how to do APA citations correctly(they grade harsh on citations) and academic writing, however NOT an easy people unit. Not recommended as an elective if you're the chill type. Personally, I did enjoy the tutorials due to the level of engagement and preparation. Tutors take their classes seriously, and you do get much learning from the tutorials. It can be dull to individuals who lack the patience to understand the psychological concepts and theories.

This unit was a nightmare, absolutely hated every second I was in class. Especially that I had Yeshe Colliver as my tutor, he was very harsh and not encouraging at all.

Need good essay skills. They mark extremely harshly for a first year subject. A lot of people in my tutorial failed. Tutorials are very enjoyable but my tutor was horrible at initiating and directing class discussions. Subject matter was relevant but just poorly touched on in tutorials. Most of the focus in on enjoying oneself in the tutorial and I believe the lack of focus on academia in the tutorial classroom lead to my (and other students) confusion when it came to writing about discussed topics in the essay. Overall a fun, enjoyable unit but not an easy pass.

That First Year subject for ECE that kicks them up the butt to get their essay writing in gear. Great training. Otherwise, so much fun. Super easy pick for a People unit if you're Second Year +. (Text book is awful though, basically a compilation of photocopies. Borrow > Buy)

Interesting content and tutorials are fun however I found assessments were marked quite harshly for a first year unit. But overall, enjoyed the unit :)

Very interesting unit with engaging and passionate lecturer and tutors. Content is interesting and quite easy to follow and sometimes in tutorials you even get to play games such as snakes and ladders!!
