Unit is quite easy, most of the assessment is multiple choice. Probably too much focus on amino acids and enzymes though that the metabolism part is a little neglected. Tutorials and pracs are fantastic, things are generally marked on time and fairly, but most of the prac demonstrators are pretty hopeless.

a challenging unit, Pracs are okay. Finals and Mid sem hard. need to know a. acid properties. Use APPLING AND MATTHEWS - BIOCHEMISTRY CONCEPTS AND CONNECTIONS as the prescribed text sucks tbh. Or any other textbook will do. Shoba is very helpful. she set up PAL sessions to go through material. weekly worksheets. though I didn't connect with her teaching style. WEEKS 7-11 are quite intense. Draw out metabolic pathways. Citric Acid Cycle, Glycolysis Pentose pathway, etc. USE AK LECTURES Khan academy. if not understanding, or get private tutoring. from say Abid the professor, he's awesome.
