Good god, what a unit..... This unit literally was the catalyst for my severe mental decline over the past 2 years. All I can say is, if this unit is not compulsory for you, dont do it. It BARELY scrapes by as a bio unit, its basically all stats and coding, the only thing semi helpful is the introduction to R, which you only really need if you're going into research. Had a terrible time, genuinely DREADED every class, impossible quiz and assessment given. The only real solace available is that you get to miss 3 of the 'pracs', which are basically just copying and pasting coding lines from the class notes to R.

During this unit, I developed confidence using and critically analysing biostatistics. An additional benefit is that doing the course represents an efficient way to get a grounding in R, which is used for data analysis in a variety of industries. It won't be easy, but it will be worthwhile.

As someone who was not very good at stats i really enjoyed this subject.
