Really simple content, basically an introduction into uni assessment expectations. It's easy enough but still a bit of work to keep ontop of plus the endless assessments for the unit! Tutorials were boring and quite pointless + no one really watched the lectures and passed everything... Simple enough for 3 credit points but not really worth it !

This class is an insult to intelligence. The only place it should have is in preparation for uni courses. the lecture we had literally just followed the text book ( that she co wrote) and our tutorials consisted of work reminiscent of childhood. without putting any work in whatso ever i got a high credit.

Great unit, highly recommend it. You learn writing skills vital for assignments in other units, and whilst the content can be dry, it is useful. So pay attention!

easy to pass as long as you do all your assignments on time

Unnecessary class, terrible people unit... However kind of a breeze. This is a low level English class that teaches you skills you could learn on google in a few hours. No final test for this class but assignments can be complex if you wind up with a bad group for the assignments. Do it if you have a few friends who's timetable line up.

One word: BORING!!! This unit is about writing, writing, writing and...guess? Writing, again! You have to choose a topic from the list and then keep writing different kind of assignments (report, brochure, critical summary etc...) about that. In the end, you'll find yourself knowing everything about something absolutely unuseful for your studies and sorrounded by references. If the teacher encourages you to buy the book, don't listen to her, it is just a waste of money.

There were some times the unit wasn't organised well and there was unclear communication e.g. when assignments were due, lecture attendance requirements. Very language critical unit. However a unit that teaches you little things which will stick with you during and after uni in communicating through various mediums.
