Reviews

A revision of financial reporting done in undergrad so easy enough to follow. The books may be confusing but solving problems at the end of the chapters is enough to build a basic foundation of the content.

The content is relatively easy to understand, with more practice one becomes good at it. Though, marking is strict.

This unit provides students with a graduate-level understanding of accounting as a business process to record, measure, classify and report relevant economic, financial and other related information and transactions for use by a variety of stakeholders. Students completing the unit expected to be able to prepare, analyse and discuss financial reports in various business contexts. Seminars covered the core aspects of the preparation and basic analyses of financial statements and the underlying policies and principles.

Very basic. Useful to build knowledge for more complicated stuff that follows.

the weekly homeworks are very useful to do well in the final exam. the unit convenor is very friendly so students should feel free to ask questions whenever they have any confusion.
