Giving two stars for this course because while it was amusing and somewhat comical at times, much of it was dreadful. I just want to start by saying that if you learn by listening to teachers or having them provide feedback, aka you don’t learn by the textbook but rather by the person themself, then DO NOT DO THIS COURSE. You heard me. This course is structured in a meticulous way; allow me to explain. They give you a bunch of severely outdated (2013) lecture slides accompanied by audio recordings and it’s up to you to take your notes and learn your own sh*t. If you don’t understand something, tough sh*t; unless you somehow get a response to the 10 spam emails you’ll find yourself sending, or find the time in labs to ask it yourself, you’re just going to have to accept defeat and hope that little chunk of unknown knowledge won’t come up in a test. Which, by the way, it will. Now, I have to give credit where it’s due. I fking love Nigel Morrison. He’s as sharp as a whip and is a good teacher when he wants to be, and the man has a great sense of humour. The problem? Man does not give a flying fck about your learning progress. As I said, he’s a good teacher WHEN HE WANTS TO BE. He’ll give you his pre-recorded ten-year-old lectures and the odd 10 minute lesson in-between, but otherwise you’re on your own here. That being said, it isn’t impossible to get a 7 in this course. I mean, l did it, but it certainly wasn't easy. I spent hours upon hours just memorizing content (because you won't actually gain any applied knowledge in this course), all so that I could regurgitate it in the exam.

Horrible

Nigel has no idea what is actually going on in his own course and the rest of them are just as bad. Clearly just there for their pay check. good luck to anyone that has to take it

No communication, no feedback. In this course you’re on your own. Lecturers do not reply to emails. The staff really don’t care about students and it shows.
