The aim of the OPE is to provide a professional body to students in the studies of optics, physics and engineering. To that end we aim to a) enrich OPE students through the promotion of student community and education b) promote OPE within the university through undergraduate awareness, optics representation in student government and promotion of interdepartmental collaboration c) bridge university and industry environments together through education (e.g., seminars) and collaboration d) to participate in community outreach, raising awareness in youth science education, as well as community education (i.e., university tours and lectures) and to promote the optics programs to the optics community at large
