Reviews

This subject can be difficult at first, but it gets easier. This subject is really interesting and the lecturers are helpful!

Incredibly engaging and interesting unit. I personally didn't find the workload too heavy, it was a level I expected to be dealing with and felt appropriate for the unit (although it was definitely leaning on the more content filled side of things, but it is bio so). The only assignment was fun to do, although I didn't pace it and ended up stressing myself because of that, so be wary about this! The test was ridiculously easy, definitely doesn't need anywhere near that much exam time to complete, it was very hyped up and so I was pretty annoyed when I actually did it. This one is fun, highly recommend.

I found it quite difficult to learn that amount of content in one trimester the subject. I really liked the content however I hadn’t done biology since year 10 and this subject was full of it.

Content was super interesting but speed and workload was ridiculous! If you haven’t done biology in high school (I didn’t) this subject can be a bit difficult to begin with. Limited support from teachers and very vague regarding assignment expectations. A shame really because the content was quite interesting!

Hard. Be prepared for an information-overload and a lot of difficult physiological concepts that are seldom as in-depth on the final exam.

The content is heavy but very useful. The exams and quizzes require you to have a good grip on the content

incredibly interesting unit but the content is far too heavy. trying to remember the names of so many random structures of the body is incredibly difficult. The exam is multiple choice but the questions can be about anything at all about the body, and i mean ANYTHING which makes it rather difficult. Still enjoyed the unit and got a D overall with some extra hard study and HDs leading up to the exam. if you keep on top of the lectures and study you should do fine.

As I was new to any kind of science, I found the speed at which this subject was taught quite unmanageable. The content is wonderfully interesting but just too difficult to grasp in 1 term. I feel if this subject was taught over a longer period, it would allow for a richer more comprehensive learning experience.

The content is extremely heavy and is hard to do well if you don't keep up. The readings are very long however the lectures were well presented and the prac classes were interesting but difficult.

Huge content, but interesting! Keep up with lectures and you should be fine!
