Decent course. Good step up from CHEM2202 and lecture content was mostly well delivered. The first half of the course (organic & supramolecular chemistry) was really well run, with great delivery and support by tutorial and laboratory material. Assessment expectations were clear and were a good extension from the organic and physical chem component of CHEM2202. The second half (organometallic) had really interesting lecture content but was poorly delivered at times. It was difficult to tell what the key takeaways from each lecture was, making it difficult to study for the final exam. The tutorial content was helpful but did not necessarily give a good indication of the types of questions to appear in the final exam unlike the first half of the course. The laboratory was generally do-able but the write-ups were difficult as they did not exactly line-up with the lecture content as seamlessly as the first half.
