This unit demands a lot of attention - more so than PHAR3320 - but the labs are fun and easy for the most part. The number of assessments exponentially increase during 2nd half of semester to the point where it's almost impossible to manage alongside other units. There are also a couple of presentations (one of them was a group presentation). The major assessments in this unit are all group projects, SO MAKE SURE YOU GET INTO A GOOD GROUP (3-4 members). There was no place to rate each group member's contribution either, so if you're in a dodgy group you will have to cop marks. Nonetheless, I was still able to get a high HD (was just a lot more effort compared to previous pharm units, and a lot more stressful because of group work). ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ ʔ

Took more effort than PHAR3321. No assessments for the first 6 weeks, and then the rest of the semester is loaded with assessments. The drug discovery project took quite a bit of work, and its very important to find a good team at the start because the group projects make up ~42% of total unit grade. Good luck.

This unit is compulsory for the PHAR major. It is tough love as the labs are so engaging and interesting. Sometimes you think you are doing great and you do crap, and then sometimes you feel you will fail and you somehow do well. Thus is the reality of tertiary education. However, I digress, the allocation of marks need to be more defined in this unit for students who are consistently aiming higher. Starts easy and gets progressively more difficult throughout the semester. If you are not a PHAR major, there is no reason to do this over the theory unit.
