RUN TO TAKE THIS UNIT. Its easier than most Level 1's I've done. Its a Sem 2 unit, but places are limited so enrol at the start of the year. Kellie and Zaza run this unit well, organisation is great. Literally just speak in each class 3-5 times, do a group project (your group members are likely on the same boat, motivated by an easy unit), study at least going through the slides once (lectures are purely online and pre-recorded). One of the rare units that might make your life better with the mental wellbeing teaching, because surprise surprise unit coordinators that care improve student performance. Stop reading this review and just RUN to enrol in it.

I loved this unit! Was easy to keep up to date with. Class attendance was marked but you needed to go since the content was assessed. The class environment was chill, open and safe. We had a lot of honest and deep discussions on content and how it applied to ourselves. There is a major written assignment and was an exam Sem 2 2022. If you need a fun elective unit do this one- but get in fast as places might be limited.

A lovely unit. The lectures aren't too much, on average 2 per week which can easily be watched on 2x speed as the lecturers kinda just repeat what's on the slides. However, I found the content incredibly interesting, but some of it could be triggering as there's an entire week on suicide and self-harm (it's touched on appropriately though, and mostly talks about statistics/epidemiology and treatment/prevention). There are weekly workshops which are simple and participation is marked, not based off attendance but on your contributions to the discussions. The exam was short-answer rather than MCQ which is a bit annoying (my wrist got so sore from writing lol), but not too tough overall.

This is one of the most chill units I've had. Even though it's a level 2 unit, it's level 1 unit difficulty. The lectures were somewhat monotonous, and could drag on for literally hours of content per sitting. Some of the content also seems quite repetitive, but wasn't too difficult to learn. There was a group presentation, which was super straightforward provided you did your research, and the essay could be done relatively well. There were two online SAQs, which weren't hard to answer, but required you to type quickly because of the short time limit, and therefore, you had to be brief rather than put all the relevant info in. We also had no exam, though I heard they were bringing it back in the future.

A manageable unit with high capability of achieving HD / D. A group presentation worth 35% so be careful who you get teamed up with. Online tests are marked leniently, but often favours those who type fast (as questions are short-answer). Other than that, an interesting but often monotonous unit in terms of tutorials and content. Would highly recommend for an easy, level 2 broadening unit.

Terrible unit- everything you 'learn' is basically common sense and the tutorials consist of dumb activities that you would do in primary school. Massive waste of time and effort (though a very easy broadening unit to pass if that's what you're after).

Pretty easy elective unit. Don't forget to study because the exam is all short answer and can't really be winged. The tutorials are really fun and engaging. I would definitely recommend it.
