DO NOT DO THIS UNIT EVEN IF YOU ARE A HISTORY MAJOR. The main lecturer who is also the unit coordinator absolutely butchered the potential this unit had. The lectures were not relevant and none of it came out in the exam. We were thrown into the dark most of the time. I've never seen a unit so sloppy. Absolute waste of time.

I think you need to approach thus unit as an inspiration. The lectures and the tutorials pick out a theme from each area covered. To get the most of the unit you will need to do your own reading to place this in historical context...and you will definitely need to do this to tackle the exam. While it is not high school and self learning is what uni is all about, I feel that the unit could have tied together a little better.

No clear study materials or guidelines for exams given. Main lecturer mumbles his way through each session and learning outcomes for each topic are very unclear. Do not recommend.
