Really easy to score well in the assesments except...there are just so many of them. A group report, a group presentation, an individual report made using results obtained from Mimics (part 1 of the big individual assignment), a tedious worksheet for a patient and an A0 poster (part 2), weekly quizzes and the final exam. It's a fairly easy unit in terms of content and tips were given on the topics to study for the final exam so while it's not advisable to cram for the final exam, it's doable. This was Alex's first time teaching the unit and while he was great, I think there were times where it was frustrating for both the students and Alex due to this.

Would have liked it to be less focused on AAA since it is an intro to biomed engineering. Very easy to score well in assessments though! Final exam was closed book but wasn't terrible

this unit was pretty good. Very heavy focus on AAA, but the way it was used almost like a case study was kinda cool and you got to learn some of the less technical and more regulatory and project side of engineering. Using mimics was really cool and i actually enjoyed making it look nice (Even if i left it to the last minute) and i felt like the assesment was fair. If youre doing the biomed spec you have to do this unit, but i wouldnt dread it. It was quite easy to cram for the exam (which also luckily for me was open book cos of covid) and you could do the assesments without the lectures, if thats your style.
