the unit is a pretty chill one--you can watch the lectures without taking notes and still score well in your assignments. weekly tutes are basically everyone giving ideas about the medium the lecturer touched on the week before (ie a documentary, a film, or a novel, or a video game). there are two essays in this unit-- my first was a film analysis, and if you're not used to analysing films this may be a bit hard. cons are the lectures can be a bit boring, and they jump through each medium very fast (one per week). if your other units are material heavy and don't have time to do pre-readings don't take it. its informative but i would not recommend taking as an elective.
