This unit is now called entangled objects & it is the best unit I took in my whole degree. It’s the reason I’m an anthropologist now. The unit focused around giving you the skills to analyse an object in a museum collection. The assessments were an - 800 word summary of the significance of your object - an in class presentation about your hypothetical final museum project (worth 30% of your participation grade) - in class participation - and a final museum project collating 5-10 objects that are related to you assigned artefact Gretchen, the UC, is an incredibly accommodating lecturer who is happy to help you complete your assignments to the highest standards. I cannot recommend this unit enough.

This unit was great! Didn't really know exactly what to expect going into it, but enjoyed it overall. No exams is a huge plus- just participation (worth quite a bit at 40%) comprising of forum submissions (really easy to do) and tutorial contributions, and then 2 essays. Knowledge of art is not really required at all, analysis is more contextual/historical than anything. For a unit that was out of my comfort zone, it was super HD-able. If you're good with English/writing it's a breeze.
