Great unit - challenging readings but they get easier as you get used to theory heavy writing. Sam is an amazing lecturer - passionate, knowledgeable, funny - one of the best speakers I’ve heard. He is brilliant at interpreting difficult ideas into simple language. This unit changed how I viewed the world. Essays are marked fairly and plenty of guidance and help is given.

This was a difficult unit and much like a history unit, but it does give such a great overview and background of knowledge for all sociology and anthropology study you will nee to do in the future.
