Mechatronics 1 subject was a challenging subject with two components -1)FPGA and 2) MCU. This subject really was a great learning curve for me. I suggest asking the tutors any questions you have as early as possible to avoid confusion as the subject has high work load. With all the support from the subject tutors the subject is smooth and flows well.

In this subject you will learn about FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays), which involves drawing logic circuits; and microcontrollers (like the PIC18, or the ATMega on Arduino). It is a well-structured subject, with your knowledge building up over time, and is a great way to start learning about mechatronics and control.
