This subject gives a great overview of a wonderful period of music history. It gave me a much greater appreciation of music of this period, especially opera, which I never used to care much for. There is a lot of content in this subject but if you do the readings and get to know the set works you should be able to do pretty well. And, of course, David Larkin is one of the best lecturers you're likely to have.

David Larkin is a legend. My favourite course. Intense though, but so worth it.
