Boring subject, maths heavy content. No real insight gained. Dry at the start but picked up toward the end.

Very challenging unit with a lot of symbols but very rewarding once you get it. Personally, Mariano is a GREAT lecturer as he explains the concepts and equations thoroughly. Go to lectures as he doesn’t use the mic. This unit requires a lot of effort and you have to fully understand everything to do well. Go to consultations the moment you don’t understand anything. The mid sem is similar to tutorial questions. Also, I had James as my tutor for this unit and he was great.

Mariano KULISH made this the hardest subject of all time

DO NOT do this subject. Mariano Kulish is quite possibly the worst lecturer I have ever had at USYD.

Absolutely love the lecturer Stella Huangfu. She was fantastic in her teaching style. It was true that the course was maths-intensive, and required calculations of symbols, Stella gave clear explanations in every model and the tutorial materials helped a lot in understanding.

Found it pretty enjoyable

The content is very hard, especially if you're not a maths fan. Throughout the entire semester there were about 100 words, the rest was all symbols and derivatives.
