Absolutely fantastic course! Engaging content (although sometimes I wished it would dive a little deeper) taught by very passionate professors, and fun, hands-on labs with plenty of real dissections + specimens to observe. The mid-semester practical exam was thoughtfully and creatively put together, using microscope slides, real specimens, pictures and videos at a variety of phyla/topic-specific stations to test your knowledge. I know no one likes exams, but I dare say I might have enjoyed this one! The content is straightforward and fairly easy but if you need support, professors and tutors are more than willing to answer your questions either in person or on EdDiscussion. Highly recommend this course. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I will mention that a lot of this course is memorising key features of evolutionary groups and subgroups, so be prepared for a lot of content! It’s definitely worth the effort, however, as I now find myself recognising what I’ve learnt in the world around me (going to the beach has become a favourite activity to spot coral skeletons and the odd Echinoderm)!
