The course was taught by a new lecturer when I took it, so he was making it up as he went along. Luckily he was a pretty good lecturer and a good bloke, so although the content was at times confusing or seemingly disconnected, he put up all his lecture notes and wrote fairly easy exams / gave strong hints as to what to study. This was definitely a difficult course but it was also pretty interesting. I was a maths major so I probably had an easier time with it than some students.
