Pretty poorly managed. You can tell the lecturer cares for the unit but it’s obvious they’ve been given too much content to cram in. As previously mentioned, there is way too many small assessments. I understand they use small assessment to increase engagement but it didn’t seem to effective.

So much content packed into every lecture, tutorial and practical that you have no time for your other units. Very harsh expectations given how much work is thrown on the students, I am doing this during COVID and there has been zero leniency. If you like being stressed, this is the unit for you.

No stars. Absolute worst subject i have ever done in my life. It is overly packed with assignments, so much so that it leaves little to no time for you to complete your other subjects. The course is poorly taught and poorly planned with no real structure. They mentioned covalent bonds and ionic bonds for the first time in week 8 of the subject! They didn't mention how to read the periodic table until week 10! These are week TWO lessons! It has the basics so mixed around that i wonder if the coordinator even knows how to teach at all. It is rediculiously difficult and when sought, no help was offered. In fact the coordinator takes a "not my problem" approach from day one and the tutor was no better. Not to mention, she sounded bored herself when she taught the subject. A blatant waste of my time. Avoid at all costs.
