UQ Health Tutor Mia
Hi, my name is Mia and I am a third-year medical student at UQ (GPA 7.0), with an undergraduate Bachelors of Biomedical Science (GPA 6.74). I have a passion for learning and enjoy assisting others to learn, as well as a genuine interest and enthusiasm for others. I have worked as a high school tutor for 6 years and a UQ BIOM3401 tutor for 2 years which included laboratory practical teaching, as well as assignment and exam marking.
As a tutor I generally curate my sessions to the student's needs, whether that be explaining difficult concepts, making up fun mnemonics and memory tricks, motivating you to make a start, testing your learning, and providing feedback with assignments.
Please note I am doing online sessions for Brisbane students as I am relocating to Hervey Bay. I am taking on new students for 2025 (do not have availability before this). Very happy to do group sessions with the hourly rate split up according to the number of students.
