UQ Science Tutor Jaco

I am currently doing an MPhil in Mathematical Physics at UQ and have been a UQ tutor for over a year. My availability should be constant. I'm available: Mondays: 10-12:00, Tuesdays: 10-4:00, Wednesdays: 10-4:00 and 10-4:00, Thursdays: 10-4:00 and Fridays: 10-4:00. However, feel free to message me for other times which might work better for you. I am at home (not in Brisbane) for the holidays so will be tutoring over Zoom. I have a semester's worth of experience tutoring university Mathematics. I enjoy helping others understand Mathematics and getting it to click for them. I also have studied Japanese in High School and on my own since then. I have the highest proficiency level on the JLPT (N1) and can read and understand novels, news and online articles. I would be able to help with Beginner and Intermediate grammar, speaking and reading. I can also help with writing and giving some conversation practice on a specified topic. Seeing as this is my first time it is only reasonable to be asking a lower rate than others. For now I'll have it at $30 for an hour to an hour and a half, $45 for any longer. Feel free to message me to arrange a different pricing option if that doesn't suit and we can discuss it. The way I like to tutor will depend on what each person is having difficulty with and what things they find easier to understand. For example working through an example from class or explaining the theory behind a concept/ method, but in general I like to work towards developing an understanding of the reasoning behind things. This way the individual can gain a deeper understanding which can be applied to other more challenging problems and also allows for better recollection compared to rote learning.
