My name is Rachael and I am a GAMSAT tutor. I am a Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Languages (French) and Bachelor of Arts graduate from the University of Melbourne. I completed a major in Language and Linguistics and received first class honours (H1) in all linguistics major subjects with a 3rd year WAM of 88.3. I am completing honours in linguistics in 2021, looking at the experience of Indigenous patients in the Western Australia health system.
I am employed as a GAMSAT tutor and content developer with GradReady, and am/have been employed as a linguistics tutor at St Hilda's College and Trinity College at UniMelb.

I currently primarily work as a GAMSAT tutor, having achieved an unweighted score of 75 (98th percentile) in September 2020, with a score of 81 in S1 (99.9th percentile), 73 in S2, and 71 in S3. I specialise in tutoring Section 1 and Section 2. I will be studying the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2022.

I have received grades above 90 for essays, including:
95 in LING30001 - Exploring Linguistic Diversity (the Linguistics capstone)
94 in LING20009 - Language in Aboriginal Australia
94 in LING30014 - Australian Indigenous Languages
92 in FREN30006 - French Translation
92 in LING40008 - Experimental Phonetics

I also received an 84 in Phonetics and a 94 in Syntax, the two 2nd year Linguistics core subjects.

I am available for tutoring throughout the semester, exam preparation, as well as assistance on essay structure, essay planning, and proofreading.

I was the 2018 recipient of the Lin Martin Global Scholarship and in 2019 the recipient of a Faculty of Arts exchange-enabling scholarship. I was also the 2020 recipient of the Appen Prize for Excellence in Linguistics, awarded to the highest achieving student in Linguistics who goes on to enrol in honours. I have also received several scholarships from Janet Clarke Hall, a residential college at the University of Melbourne.

I had Rachael as a tutor for section 1 and 2 and seen improvements for both scores with +6 and +9 for both respectively. She is very patient and insightful when it comes to teaching complicated concepts. If you need to re-sit GAMSAT, Rachael can definitely help!

I had Rachel as a tutor for GAMSAT section 2 essay writing and she assisted me tremendously with both essay structure and content. I went into the exam feeling more competent than any of my previous GAMSAT sittings.
I could not recommend Rachel enough
