Note: my tutoring fee is PER SESSION (not per hour).
Each session typically includes:
- review of your previous work before our consultation
- annotations to the work (where required eg, AGLC4 referencing edits)
- review of course material related to the relevant subject/topic/assessment
- one-on-one phone or Zoom consultation (typically 1 to 1-1/2 hours)

Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) with First Class Honours (graduated July 2022),
University of Notre Dame, Sydney.
- I achieved a D or HD in every one of the Law subjects I tutor, topping the class for several essay, research assignments and exams, and have topped several subjects overall.

- AGLC4 coaching and tutoring
I offer an AGLC4 coaching service - this helps students increase their marks especially where you miss points due to poor referencing. Your marked assignment is annotated for correct referencing, your writing style critiqued and a one-on-one consultation included in the one tutoring session.
- Essay structuring
- Understanding the essay/exam questions
- Preparing responses to problem questions
I can assist you with most compulsory units and some electives. First and second year students particularly achieve increased confidence and skills with Legal Research and Writing, Statutory Interpretation, Torts, Property, Contracts, Equity and Trusts to make sure you don't leave any points on the table for your assessments. This is what gets you the edge for research essays, problem questions and exam preparation.
My skills are particularly geared towards improving the quality of your assessment, logical argument and referencing. Exam strategies worrying you? I can help there as well. The earlier in the semester you start understanding exam strategy, the better equipped you'll be each and every time.
APPROACH TO TUTORING
My teaching approach is to build capability in students; my style is to direct you towards competency and confidence, not to spoon-feed.
As your Law subject tutor, you will receive targeted help in your writing skills and confidently build impeccable referencing.
Tutoring sessions are minimum 60 minutes for assessment feedback and review. I will read your assessment prior to starting the clock; your drafts will be clearly marked so you know what to tackle first to substantially improve your work. These sessions give you a lot of bang for your tutoring investment.
Sessions are conducted by phone or Zoom.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I have built and run a management consulting and corporate training company for over 25 years working with global multi-nationals and government sectors. I have extensive experience in international commerce, contracts and project management, policy and business operations. I am also a Company Director and have sat on the Boards for a number of enterprises including not-for-profits. You can find me on LinkedIn for more of my career details.
I have been a casual university instructor and assessor (Macquarie) and am a published textbook author. I have developed a large repertoire of university-level learning materials and assessments in other fields, and posses current qualifications in teaching and assessment.
