I actually found this subject easier than I expected. The lectures each week were very detailed and I was able to achieve very highly and understand all topics without frequent physical attendance. Both the lecturer and tutor were excellent in helping with the assignment and explaining the concepts in a simplified manner. For anyone wanting to do Honours in the future or looking to keep their options open (why I chose to complete this subject), it's really not as hard as you might think to achieve well if you focus on going over the content thoroughly each week.

I really enjoyed this subject. Sure stats isn't for everyone, but I think that the structure and support this subject offers is really designed to bring the best out in the students.

The quizzes are designed as a learning tool to help you keep on top of the work - there is a lot to get your head around in this subject, so it's worth spending the time on these. Although they are only a small percentage of the grade, what you learn from them ensures your competence for the final exam. The weekly hours you put in to study are directly related to what you achieve. It's one of those ones you just can't cram for. You need to have a handle on the concepts every step of the way as each week builds on the previous. Good luck!

Phillipe is a great lecturer who attempts to make a dry subject interesting. This subject simply shows you the next step of what you have been learning so far. The online quizzes seem easy at first but watch out - not every question will have its correct answer listed (and sometimes a 2-part question will only have the answer to one listed). Make sure you read through the questions carefully (namely the ones that say "select all and ONLY the correct answers").
