Reviews

This subject was a massive letdown. Don't expect the field trips and flight simulator experiences that other students have had in the past. The unit is seriously underfunded and the staff are either so overworked they can't keep up with demand, or they just don't care. The Lecturer in the second half of the semester was good, and the tutor was good too - because they both have actual experience in the field. The assessment pieces have been half-developed, which is why they are difficult to understand. And we had a number of corrections made whilst completing them.

Poorly coordinated subject. There is a lot of content that is covered with minimal understanding of the content. Essentially what the coordinators have done is just thrown a truck load of content for the students to learn from top to bottom. Also, the lectures basically consist of the person reading of the slides as the student is magically meant to understand it once the voice of the lecturer hits the students eardrums. Waste of money. Furthermore, the assessment for this subject are very difficult for the average alpha male. The prerequisite for the assessment pieces require you to already be an astronaut before starting. So to any of you who are thinking of enrolling into this subject, would highly recommend trying to get into NASA to get a thorough understanding of EGB243. Kind Regards, Chad
