Reviews

This course wasn't what I was expecting - and I'm glad. Brooke is an amazing lecturer, extremely helpful and understanding. Some concepts might be hard to wrap your head around, but the course is designed to develop your understanding as each week progresses so it will all make sense in the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the assignments and would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in children's or YA literature, or to anyone in general. Stories help us understand ourselves and our place in the world, and this course just might help you do that.

Loved this course! Engaging, clear lectures, helpful and timely feedback. Brooke Collins Gearing should be highly commended as she engaged us all and was very supportive through FB if we had any additional questions about the literature. Would love to study in one of her other courses. Highly recommend ENGL2011 as a DDS subject or to those studying ENGL as part of their BA.
