Reviews

A really great subject which taught me so much that I can use in my degree and further studies. Heaps of help is given readily and the tutors are always contactable. The Literature review was a big component of the subject (30%, same as the exam) but getting to research something you are interested in is so much fun and I really enjoyed it. A great subject overall

Way better than SCI2010 - I actually enjoyed this class! You do actually have to work hard as there are little assessments most weeks which add up to either the literature review or are independent of that, but other than that it's relatively straightforward and enjoyable. The highlights are: - no compulsory weekly quizzes - workshops aren't compulsory - but the workshops are actually fun - small classes - pick your own topic for the literature review - exam isn't a hurdle (only 30%) - lots of extra assistance when you need it

Very useful and relevant to anybody going into a career in science. Lots of assessments - basically something every week. Challenging for anybody who struggles with writing, especially scientific writing. Exam was straightforward and the lectures and material is clearly set out.

Challenging unit for those of us who struggle with writing, however it is a valuable unit for those wanting to go into research.
