The content itself is interesting but it is delivered in the worst way possible. The lecturers explanations are confusing and some of the content contradicts itself. To be fair, I studied this unit during 2020 when we could only have classes on zoom but the classes were not engaging at all and I often left feeling more confused than when I started. The assignments were very vague in their descriptions and difficult to complete as a first year student. I will say that the lecturers were very friendly and understanding but ultimately the teaching was not great. My advice is if you're choosing between this subject and the other first year elective, do the other one!

This subject is enjoyable, lectures were clear and concise even though it was as just online lectures provided. The content was not dry and the workshops cleared the doubts.
