The unit, whilst covering many, many topics is essentially taught and presented as a bludge. For many, this will be a preferred situation but for geoscience students who are keen to major and possibly develop a career in geoscience, much is missing from the curriculum in terms of actual geology which is an enormous disappointment. Breadth is important but if depth is missing, all you have is a thin layer of knowledge with which to work. Not a substantial enough unit
