Reviews

- I'm writing this as a first-year Eng Student who hasn't done Specialist Math in High School. - I'm also writing this because there hasn't been a review for this unit for 4 years. - This unit is great, and the lecturer, Santiago is the highlight of this unit. - This unit is of perfect difficulty imo for a first-year engineering math unit, it's not too easy or too hard and effort will get you to your score. - The non assessable mock exam and non assessable mid-semester exam were really helpful for the final exam - The content covered was the main parts of specialist math and a bit of math methods. - Word of advice - don't slack off like me in the weekly applied classes as they are really valuable and you will regret not attempting those questions when exam time comes closer rip. - Santiago's lecture notes are the best, they will carry you throughout the unit as they are so thorough and clear lol.

Easy as unit, its probably easier then doing specialist in High school. There are 3 one hour lectures and 1 supporting class each week after week 1. The old man in the lectures is pretty bad as he speaks in such a technical term that you dont know what he is saying. I would highly recommend the younger lecturer he is the best!! Everything he says is on fleek and easy to understand. Overall, really easy to achieve a HD for this unit!!

Good first year subject to bring you up to speed with the way expected standard of Mathematics work at Monash. The notes available for this subject were very good too.

The assignments are pretty easy and the support classes are really great to ask questions in.

A fantastic unit to bring you up to date with the essentials of maths before continuing on to harder concepts in ENG1005. This unit is led by an articulate and funny lecturer, Michael Page. The assignments are there to aid in your understanding of the past weeks' content, and the support-classes are a great way of meeting friends and tackling some maths problems
