Such an awful unit. The labs were horrible and the content was poorly taught.

Horribly run unit. The first two weeks covering NMR and magnetism were great and the lecturer for this part was also good. After that however, the unit got progressively worse as the semester went on. The next topic covering transition metal complexes was completely disorganised with a horrible lecturer. However, the real nail in the coffin for this unit is the final topic relating to lithium, magnesium and zinc chemistry. The lecturer for this was one of the worst I have ever had. Completely disorganised lectures, a lecturer that would waffle on for hours about irrelevant things and then skip over multiple pages of the notes. Horrible at teaching the unit which made it very confusing to understand what exactly we were supposed to know. The final exam was then completely different from the practice exam and focused heavily on magnesium and zinc which we only had time to spend 2 lectures on, rather than lithium which we spent 4 weeks on. Overall just a god awful unit with some of the worst lecturers I have ever seen. I did not know a single person who liked the second half of this unit or thought that this unit was well handled.
