Amazing content and head lecturer however there was a bit of confusion surrounding essay writing for the major assessment

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2018

Unit was a little boring as it focuses on theories of criminology. Lectures generally weren't completed in the allocated time meaning you had to watch extra recordings online. Found that the structure of tutorials incredibly unhelpful and they did not help solidify what was being explained in lectures or make the case studies relevant. 30% of the unit was based on quizzes that were easy to get 100% on.

Super interesting, love it!

From experience, the tutors at Caulfield were not the best. However, although there are many theories it is an easy subject. The exam and all the assessments are well explained and there is plenty of prep stuff in lectures (although going to the lectures wasn't needed). Overall, it was pretty easy, but the teaching staff were pretty average.

Lots of content and theory. The subject is basically an overview of the study of Criminology- highly recommended if you want to continue in sem 2 or as a future major. Generally well organised unit with the major assessment being an essay worth 50%. Tutorial discussions were helpful if you have a good tutor and tute- reduces studying time for the exam by a ton!

Very complicated if you have no prior knowledge to Criminology.

Very heavy on the theory but what do you expect from an introduction? my tute and tutor were not the best though.
