Very harsh marking. Most of the ppl in my class only got P or C marks.

Its a great foundational intro to Public Relations (PR) if you're interested in learning more about PR and thinking of pursuing it as a major/career. I'd suggest taking this and perhaps the next core unit to determine if you want to pursue the major. I completed the unit in the first semester it ran. Teaching staff were nice. All assessments were pretty manageable and tangible, not just essays: a 3 min video/powerpoint presentation on a successful PR campaign of our choice; a media release ; a media kit; a research essay. Course content is manageable, just keep up with it to get the most out of it, particularly if you're trying to determine if PR is for you. Readings: theres a main textbook that we followed plus some other journal article readings. Textbook: Exploring Public Relations: Global Strategic Communication by Ralph Tench and Liz Yeomans.
