Earth Science is about understanding the planet on which we live. GEO1PRO provides foundation geoscience knowledge and skills applicable across many areas of employment, through study of the formation and alteration of minerals and rocks, the processes that shape the crust of the Earth and how humans interact with these processes, and the history of life on Earth. Practical experience is directed at recognising common rocks, minerals and fossils, and the interpretation of geological maps.
