Reviews

I enjoyed this subject and found the seminar manuals relatively easy due to my chemistry background. This issue seems to have been overlooked when designing the unit however. I strongly advise students without a chemistry background to get tutoring or take a crash course in chemistry, given that the manuals are worth 50%. The unit chair is passionate about their role, although I found the frantic rate of speech during the prerecorded lectures disconcerting and not conducive to good learning.

Love this subject. Challenging because has a lot of content to cover. If you like cognitive psyc or biology you will like it, otherwise, you will find it difficult as it has a lot to memorise. The exam was fair.

This is a challenging subject. Some of the philosophical content is interesting but sometimes hard to wrap your head around. The assignments were in my opinion sometimes poorly structured and unclear. The continuous review (Anki) was a good idea, but the program itself was a bit clunky. Overall, a very interesting subject, but it could be run a bit better. You'll need to put in alot of time if you want good marks.

I was really looking forward to the unit and the content is really interesting, but unfortunately it's one of the worst-run units I have come across so far. Some of the seminar manuals don't make much sense, assignments take weeks to get back and we had to piece all the weekly content together because it was so scattered around from when the unit was structured differently.
