Great unit, super informative about the world of HR and interesting too. The assessments are split into 4 quizzes, a case outline, case analysis and online oral presentation. Allowing the case outline, case analysis and oral presentation to be on the same news article was a huge help as it made the research and preparation very easy as technically we were preparing for all 3 assessments at the same time. The 3 online quizzes were very easy, a bit pressuring on the time, but doable. The last quiz was an in-person lockdown quiz (kinda like a small-scale exam), and it was also very fair if you knew all the content well enough. Joseph is an amazing UC, very knowledgeable and very approachable, and this unit was structured very well too. This was a super chill unit and I'd really recommend it as an easy but interesting elective.

Amazing unit and great unit coordinator. No overall exam, just four quizzes worth 10% each throughout the semester and one case study which isn't that hard if you did good on your MGMT1135 or MGMT1136 essay- basically a continuation of these units. Just watch lectures and go to the workshops and you'll be able to score a D at least!

Excellent introduction to Human Resource Management. Students who have workforce experience will find concepts relatable to real life, which makes them easy to remember. Some of the content is a continuation from MGMT1135 and MGMT1136, so completing those units prior would be an advantage. Exam consisted of MCQ's and short answer questions.

Write lots of study notes based on the lecture materials and readings. I did this when I took the unit and found it very useful in preparation for exams. I received a High distinction overall.
