Fantastic unit!! Such interesting lectures and labs with a lot of hands on independence! There was no exam this semester but there were 4 - 1 hour quizzes with extended answers that sort of simulate an exam and I found are pretty difficult to get HDs in but easily passable if you watch lectures. The labs are really fun and allow you to learn such practical skills - you’re basically by yourself but there is a lot of support from your tutors and the unit coordinator is lovely as long as she sees you making an effort. There’s also a scientific report which I’d recommend starting early because it can’t be done in a night and a letter to the client which is easier. The only thing I didn’t like was the lab data sharing which was annoying as some group members didn’t upload data for your report. Overall such a great unit! Would recommend!
