The content was overhauled in Sem 1 2026 and it has become a relatively straight forward unit. The content can be a bit dry, and potentially misses out on some of the more practical networking concepts, but it's not too difficult. The exams were exactly the questions in the labs with different networks. There is almost no theory based questions in exams, it's all calculations. The project is probably the most difficult part. It is relatively opened, and can be fun if you leave enough time.

It's quite hard. There's a lot of content to cover and it's all very abstract. I personally didn't find the lectures very helpful for my understanding of the material, but they did help me do well in the mid sem test. If you want a good understanding of networks, I'd suggest getting the books Chris recommends, they're very good.
