By far my favourite unit I’ve done!! It’s difficult and content heavy making it a tricky but rewarding HD. The content is super interesting with learning taking place via two lectures, one lab, and one workshop per week. The labs and workshops are helpful in consolidating lecture material so definitely attend all of them. Each week in the workshops a mock practical exam takes place which is very helpful in preparing for the final practical exam. 20% of your grade comes from pre-lab work which is based on amount completed (similar to ANHB2212). There are two in semester theory tests each worth 15%, one focusing on upper limb and the other focusing on lower limb content. Both are quite hard as they ask very specific questions that follow a strict marking key. You need an extensive understanding of all the content taught, just knowing the broader concepts isn’t sufficient for this unit. There are two final exams (one practical and one theory) each worth 25%. The theory exam is similar in difficulty to the in semester tests, however, the practical exam is easier than the weekly mock tests. Overall a very enjoyable but difficult unit. You really have to be passionate about anatomy because most of your spare time will be spent revising.
