This course was rather challenging for me as it addressed all the things that popular musicians are required to do to perform in the contemporary world and gave us opportunities to apply those things in our practicums every week when we rehearsed for the end of semester concert. I struggled personally because I only began playing my instrument much later than other students and I haven't performed a great deal up until now and I am now studying it at university level. Though, only with a challenge, can one truly learn the more than ever before. I can only hope to improve more and have a more enjoyable experience in my next collaborative music practice course, which extends from this one.
