I took this subject as a breadth and would highly recommend it!! the lecturer (Jeanine) is super engaging and makes the lectures super interesting, it helps that the lectures focus on a different topic every week. I wouldn't say it's easy to get an H1 but it's definitely manageable if you know how to write a decent essay, and even if you don't they give helpful feedback in the essay plan marking. The tutorials are very discussion heavy so be careful choosing your tute time (mine was 5pm on a friday and everyone was too drained to have a proper conversation :)), also make sure you do the tutorial readings (they were usually pretty short)

Incredibly interesting subject! The assessments were also very interesting and encourage original thought relating to the ethical and legal considerations behind AI systems. The two essays (one due mid-sem and the other during the exam period) made up the entirety of the grading. Weekly readings are pretty long (and many were academic reports), however, so don't go into the unit expecting an easy breeze. As long as you have a genuine interest in the digital ethics thought-space and are willing to engage with the informative readings and lectures consistently there should be no reason to not get a high mark. PS: Read the week 0 readings early! I specifically remember dreading the first few weeks of classes after having to read 2 x 50+ page academic reports in preparation for classes
