To be honest, I did this subject because there weren't many options left for subjects that I could take towards my French Diploma. I'm interested in theatre, but I just found this subject incredibly boring, complicated, and confusing. We learnt a little bit about modern theatre towards the end of semester, but the majority of the semester was focused on very old French theatre, which is not something I'm interested in and if it's not something you're interested in either then you probably won't enjoy this subject. The other thing about this subject is that we did it over Zoom due to the pandemic, which created a lot of difficulties that made the subject less enjoyable than if it were taught in person. Our tutor really wanted us to do improv in French, but most people weren't really into the idea of doing improv over a zoom call so we didn't really end up doing much of that.
