I assumed that this subject would allow me to know more about contemporary Korean society but I have been sadly mistaken. The lecturer is knowledgable about this subject but the lectures do not seem to translate this knowledge to us and assessments are so badly coordinated that it leaves many students confused and stressed. My tutor does not have in-depth knowledge about Korea in general, leaving discussions dry and agonising. This is in part to do with the horrible reading material assigned as well that makes students unable to engage effectively in discussions and wasting their time. Would definitely not recommend this subject unless they overhaul this course entirely.
