I hold a PhD in Mathematical Physics from the University of Melbourne and have more than 10 years of experience teaching mathematics, from high school and VCE through to university. I have worked with several private tutoring companies and taught as a casual tutor at both the University of Melbourne and the University of Queensland. My university teaching experience includes Calculus, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Engineering Mathematics, and Mathematical Physics.
My approach is patient, clear, and tailored to your needs. Whether you are struggling with a concept, preparing for an exam, or aiming to deepen your understanding, I help you break challenging problems into manageable steps and understand the reasoning behind each method.
Alongside tutoring, I have experience designing exam questions and marking assessments. This helps me guide students in structuring solutions, communicating mathematical reasoning clearly, and recognising common mistakes.
I aim to create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficulties. My goal is to help you build confidence, develop independent problem-solving skills, and establish a strong foundation for further study. Drawing on my research background, I also enjoy showing how the mathematics you learn connects to broader ideas and applications beyond the classroom.
