Hello!
My name is Maryam, and I am a first-year Doctor of Medicine student at Flinders University. I completed the Bachelor of Clinical Sciences through the competitive BClinSci/MD pathway, receiving the Chancellor’s Letter of Commendation for Academic Excellence on two occasions and ranking within the top 15% of students university-wide.
I have been tutoring since 2023, supporting high school and university students across a range of science and health subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Human Physiology, and biomedical sciences. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your understanding of difficult concepts, prepare for exams, or build confidence, I provide personalised support tailored to your goals.
I recognise that every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand each student’s strengths, areas for improvement, and preferred learning style. My sessions focus on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps through worked examples, guided practice, active recall, and exam-style questions to develop both confidence and strong conceptual understanding.
My tutoring is structured and exam-focused, incorporating targeted revision strategies, module-specific quizzes, mock exams, and practical assessment techniques. Having recently completed many of these courses myself with strong academic results, I bring a current perspective to each session and provide students with practical insights to strengthen their understanding, whilst developing effective study habits and approaching assessments with confidence.
Sessions are available online and in person at Flinders University (Bedford Park or City Campus) and Flinders Medical Centre, with flexible scheduling to suit your timetable.
Discounted rates are available for group sessions for students studying the same subject. Feel free to message me for more details!
I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals!
