Over years of tutoring psychology students, I kept seeing the same problem: students are expected to write excellent lab reports, but so much of what separates an average report from an H1 is never properly explained. So, I’ve put everything I teach my students into one 40-page guide - essentially, the lab report education I wish every psych student received at uni. It shows you exactly how to approach each section of a lab report, with a particular focus on the things that actually lift the quality of your writing, such as building a convincing literature review, developing a strong rationale for your study, writing strong aims and hypotheses, critically evaluating research, and discussing limitations properly. After returning to uni to study my grad dip in psychology, I contacted Michael for help with lab report writing. After a couple of tutoring sessions he put me onto his PDF guide, and let me tell you it was honestly some of the best money I have spent this semester. The guide breaks everything down in a way that’s detailed yet easy to follow, and the examples throughout make it so much easier to see exactly what you need to write.
