Hey there! My name is Sam and I have just completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at UQ (June '25) in 5 semesters | 5x Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence. Will be undergoing a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies starting in Summer Semester '25. I am a mature-aged student, having previously completed a Bachelor of Business Management at UQ in which I was far less diligent. I worked in the health industry for a few years following this, providing program administration and small-team management in roles for Queensland Health and a mental health NGO before returning to study Biomedical Science. As many students do, I had to teach myself new techniques and develop habits to stay on top of the more complex content of a science degree - my hope is that I can support you to do the same with less trial and error. I inadvertantly found myself de-facto tutoring a number of my classmates, and found that information reinforced by conversation and consensus was information understood. Given my recent graduation I can provide salient advice for a range of courses, including the content focus of previous assessment as well as time management guidance for in semester and SWOTVAC periods. I can also provide feedback and proofreading, having previously contributed to the review process for PhD student theses.
